Q & A mit The Overtones

The Boys in Bournemouth Black suits

Während der “Saturday Night at the Movies” Tour hatten wir die Gelegenheit The Overtones einige Fragen stellen zu können, die Fans an uns gesendet hatten.

Hier ist die Nachricht der Jungs:

Hi German Toners,

Being in the final days of the tour, we are up and down the country and pedal to the metal, so very busy!
I hope the answers below will suffice. We hope you have enjoyed the tour – it has been a wonderful time.

Best wishes.

The boys.

1. When are you coming back to Germany??? Switzerland & Austria?

All we can say is, sooner than you think… *wink*

2. What is your favourite place in Germany and why?

The beautiful thing about Germany is that every corner of the country is so different and so various. It’s an absolute pleasure to spend time everywhere in Germany. Köln or München, Berlin or Baden Baden, Manheim or Dresden: it’s all good.

3. What is your favourite travel destination? It may be a place you haven’t been before but can’t wait to explore.

After the SNATM tour, a couple of days in our own beds will be a treat! A little but of sunshine wouldn’t go amiss either!

4. What Disney character would you compare yourself to and why?

Possibly, Goofy. Yep.

5. Was there ever a gig that you wanted to leave from as quickly as possible? Badly organized, sound problems, etc. etc.

Of course, some events aren’t as well organised as others but at the end of the day, if the crowd is having a good time then it’s a job well done. Of course, organisation tends not to be a problem in Deutschland…

6. What is your most memorable meeting with a fan ?

It is always special when fans make big trips to come to gigs, whether from Ireland, Germany, Canada, Japan or Brazil. It’s such wonderful commitment and it pleases us greatly that our music is making its way around the world.

7. Did anyone of you ever forget the lyrics to one of your songs on stage? How did you handle the situation?

Erm, yes! Just giggle. !!

8. A lot of fans asked us if you would consider recording an all acoustic album since everyone loves your covers of “Get Lucky”, “Ho Hey”, “Your nobody till somebody loves you” etc.

We love acoustic work! It highlights the vocals so well and it’s so aesthetic and pleasurable to perform. I love the idea of a small and intimate acoustic tour one day.

9. What is your favorite German word? (Fabelhaft, Grossartig, Schatzi, Bitteschön, Dankeschön, Entschuldigung don’t count ;-)

Krankenhaus has a certain je ne sais quoi.

Nochmals vielen Dank an Lachie, der sich trotz Tourstress die Zeit genommen hat, die ein oder andere Frage zu beantworten.
